No matter where in the world you go, you can depend on our staff to represent you with polish and professionalism. They all have experience working with clients from a variety of cultures, and are sensitive to the issues that can arise when working internationally. Global Events was founded by Judy and Susan Franzblau, a mother-daughter team with more than 30 years combined experience in the travel and meetings industry.
Judy Franzblau, CMP, President
Judy founded Global Events with a focus on customer service and a strong work ethic. Every project at Global Events benefits from her management skills and strategic vision. Prior to founding Global Events, she worked as a travel consultant and agency manager, where she provided travel and meeting management services for corporations and associations around the world. Judy's experience and know-how allows her to anticipate potential glitches so that meetings run smoothly.
Judy serves as Secretary/Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Alliance of Meeting Management Consultants. She has also been on the Board of MPISCC, and recently received its All Star Award. In addition, Judy is a member of the American Society of Association Executivesand the Southern California Society of Association Executives. A graduate of Hunter College in New York, Judy also earned a Master of Arts from California State University, Northridge. Judy can be reached at judy@globaleventsweb.com.
Susan Franzblau, Vice President
Susan has a strong background in marketing and communications, and she really knows how to sell a meeting. She brings her creative thinking to all of Global Events projects. Before founding Global Events, Susan spent 8 years as a writer, director and producer in the video production industry. The diversity of her experience allows her to work well with people from all over the world, and she has developed the cultural awareness over the years that lets her know what level of formality people from different countries require.
As a member of Meeting Professionals International Southern California Chapter, Susan has been the "meeting planner's meeting planner." She handles logistics for monthly meetings and organized the chapter's participation in the Ronald McDonald Relay for Kids. For her successful contribution, she received the chapter's Rising Star Award in 2000. Even with her busy schedule, Susan still finds time to enjoy work as a freelance fiction and technical writer.
